RemoteID is a FAA equipment required of remote controlled toys >250g (model aircraft, quad, drone). It broadcasts your location and is collected by gov contractors for surveillance. While RemoteID is federally mandated, there is no real-time enforcement as local authorities are actually busy with real crime. All that remains is moar gov surveillance.
