I will need the help of Android developers.
I recently used a lib that includes Glide 4.8.0 (same version that Fedilab uses)
I got this error:
D8: Program type already present: com.bumptech.glide.GeneratedRequestManagerFactory
I tried to exclude the dependency from this lib without any success.
If you had already encountered this issue, I would appreciate your help :)
To everyone praising Tusky for including hardcoded obstacles to users trying to access Gab instances, I don't think you understand what Libre software is.
I will stop here with #Gab by removing the block feature inside the app in the next release.
- I didn't receive a reply from Google policy team about a potential ban of the application.
- Without the previous risk, I clearly think that's not my role. I can't hard-code instance blocks especially when every tools are here for that.
- If you want a strong block, it's in the hands of social network developers or your admins.

I'm a high school dropout that has never taken any CS or computer classes.
Web development is just a hobby of mine, I work in the auto industry.
I'm so proud of this project, I never would have imagined that I could make something like this.
Thank you for helping me realize credentialism isn't so important as you think. ❤️
If I could magically make everyone aware of just one thing, it would be this:
Government, laws, and policies are tools for reaching particular ends. They are not expressions of your identity, your morals, or the morals of your country. If a policy won't accomplish what you want, it doesn't matter how good its intentions are, it's still a bad policy.

Dear #fediverse. I work as an #architect and design buildings that harm the planet. I am looking for a practicing #engineer who can teach me building energy modelling using #opensource tools. I have a background in software dev, run #gentoo #linux and am willing to learn down to the details.
I do not have a background in heat transfer or thermodynamics, which is why I am asking for a tutor.
I promise to use this to design better buildings.
Please help retoot this so I can find someone.
