People on the left generally show uncritical trust of major news outlets, no matter how badly written their articles are. People on the right show paranoid distrust of the same outlets, even when their articles are well documented (rare as it is).
Considering that most of the major news outlets are corporate-owned, shouldn't it be the other way around?
(I'm not dumb; I know it's because people believe articles that confirm their views and disbelieve ones that go against them. Still ironic.)
Also, speaking as someone on the right, paranoid distrust of even well documented stories has been earned. We have been lied to often enough, it would be crazy not to be distrustful.
Liberdon is a Mastodon instance for libertarians, ancaps, anarchists, voluntaryists, agorists, etc to sound off without fear of reprisal from jack or zuck. It was created in the wake of the Great Twitter Cullings of 2018, when a number of prominent libertarian accounts were suspended or banned.
