On this day in 1775, British police shot several people while confiscating weapons of war from private citizens, including African-American man Prince Estabrook.
Republicans responded by condemning Estabrook as "not a law abiding gun owner" and started the #BackTheRed hashtag.
Democrats responded by criticizing the police for racist enforcement of gun laws and calling for more gun control.
Opinions I am super not interested in include, but are not limited to, calls for children to be sentenced to death or life without parole, especially from folks who were arguing last week that people shouldn't be cancelled for doing bad things as teenagers
the left has decided that the perpetrator of one crime is morally white
the right has decided that the victim of one crime is morally white

The government should not be in the business of telling children who they can or can't play sports with.
If we hadn't incorporated youth sports into mandatory government education, this would not even be an issue.
I want trans men and trans women in sports.
I want performance enhancing drugs in sports.
I want prosthetics in sports.
I want surgical enhancements in sports.
I want cybernetic implants in sports.
I'd finally start watching sports if it was that badass.
For centuries, the American tradition was for the progressives to support wars, and for the conservatives to oppose them.
Now, whether or not someone supports a given war is more likely to be determined by partisanship.
Whose sin was greater?
George W. Bush for making conservatives forget they hated war
Barack Obama for making progressives remember they loved it

Hats off to these two brave officers in #Myanmar, who broke from the #ThinBlueLine. It takes incredible courage to do the right thing, knowning the punishment they will inevitably face.
The world needs more good cops like these.
